CELESTE REYES FINE ART
Art is the desire of a man to express himself, to record the reactions of his personality to the world he lives in.
In 1999 she made a Painting Workshop in the University of the Monastery of Sor Juana. Celeste took several art courses, like Drawing human figure in the Arts University in 2001 and "Utopias and autopsies of Art Criticism", Arts University in 2003.
In 2004, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the School of Arts of the Autonomous University of Mexico and in the same year she earned the Presea Ignacio Manuel Altamirano. This is the price for the best average of an Bachelor of Fine Arts.
Celeste specializes in engraving, this she studied for more than four years in the School of Arts in Mexico. She works either on metal, wood or acrylics. In her workplace she has a Etching Press, which allows her to develop the technique and especially her creativity.
She currently lives in Europe and travels quite frequent to Germany, Holland and Italy.
Celeste Reyes's early work was created in oil or acrylic paints and some of her work have been created digitally. Her most extensive are perhaps the drawings and graphic art published in several magazines in Mexico.
Her actual artwork is focused on animals, Celeste has been in love with animals since early childhood , her passion for the natural beauty and coloring of an animals make her aware of how it must adapt to it’s surroundings, to become invisible to the hunter, visible to the same species to mate, and powerful enough to scare off predators. The bold color she sees is like an animal aura, with such energy and emotion, she put down like a color on her palette.
